The course conducted by Ivo Nilsson will include an exposé over the Contemporary Classics for Trombone solo including works by for instance Berio, Cage, Kagel and Scelsi were will have a close look on both technical as well as interpretation aspects.
It will also introduce some more recent solo works including live- electronics (f.i. MAX/MSP) by Cifariello-Ciardi, Francesconi and Mårtensson. Finally we will thouch some basics in brass playing and perform some ensemble pieces together.
The masterclass will take place from 31th of July to 6th of August. On the 6th of August all the students will be involved in a final Concert.
Lessons will of 6 hour every day and will be divided between individual, in the morning, and collective, in the afternoon.
In case students will be less than a minimum number due to activate the masterclass, the direction of the Academy could decide to reduce the day of the course, without reducing the time for each student.
An admission text is not requested. It could be usefull sending a curriculum in order Professor Masciadri can better know in advance each pupil.
