The seminar (from 5 to 12 August) held by Marco Testoni is devoted to the new techniques, professions and skills required in the field of music for images: from composition, musical supervision, and sound design to music consulting.
The programme features the topics associated with music for images discussed in Marco Testoni’s book Musica e Visual Media, published by Audino Editore (2016).
The book and the seminar provide a comprehensive overview of the music system from the global perspective of its relationships with the world of audio-visuals. Starting with the historical development of music for cinema, Marco Testoni proposes solutions permitting one to address the different, specific phases of the production of a contemporary sound track in all its artistic, technical and managerial aspects: from composition to post-production, from musical screening of the script to choice of repertory pieces, from studio-recording sessions to music licensing.
