The Composition course by Antonio Cocomazzi (23- 30 of July) is aimed at students of all levels who want to deepen the study of Composition on instrumental formations, from solo to orchestration, concretely working on technical possibilities and creativity. At the opening of the course, the candidate must present the score of at least one recent composition for ensemble of his choice, including recording (also midi simulation). The course will have a laboratory character with daily meetings and the students will be able to either work on an original solo or chamber composition for a maximum of 3/4 instruments (which will be communicated later, for example, flute, violin/viola/ cello and piano) and the development of a short theme which will be assigned in the imminence of the course and which will then be analyzed with the teacher in the collegial seat with relative practical suggestions.
As the work progresses, the piece will be rehearsed by the performers “in residence” or even by the composer himself and performed at the final concert.
