Maestro Forlivesi’s composition course (from 7 to 19 August) is open to students of any background and level of musical experience, undergraduate or post-graduate. This course will focus on historical and contemporary composition practice, varying from solo instruments (including voices) to orchestra. Students can also work on non-western music, Japanese traditional instruments, organ and sacred music, as well as highly structured improvisatory situations. Emphasis will continue to be placed on techniques and creativity.
Works composed during the course will be considered for performance.
