The programm of the Masterclass (from 5 to 12 August) conducted by Stefano Taglietti will be:
- Group lessons including listening and analysis of historicized contemporary compositions, or recently importance;
- Problems of chamber music instrumentation, vocal writing and orchestration with larger organic;
- Outline of arrangement problems (defined as the exercise of transformation and “filter” composition of connecting equipment also very varied) and trascizione as element of continuity or reframing of ancient and modern repertoires;
The work will initially be produced in printed material and later with word processing programs such as Finale or Sibelius.
The master class also includes:
- presentation and collective discussion of the pupils’ work;
- individual meetings with the teacher;
- collective meetings with guest musicians;
- composition, with the supervision of the teacher, of a piece for ensemble (but also from one or more instruments) to be performed in the concert of the end of the course.
Progress
The masterclass provides 6/8 hours a day, divided between collective and individual.
Where the number of students will be less than the minimum established for the activation of the course, the organization reserves to reduce the frequency of days. It will still be guaranteed the integrity of the master class and the total time working with students.
Admissions
There are no skill levels, but a single course of study. There will be hearings, but a selection by sending a motivation letter with attached compositions and listen with audio file (mp3) and link with CV.
