Alireza Mortazavi born in Esfahan in Iran, is an Iranian musician and composer. He started playing Santur when He was 10. He is considered a musician endowed with great skill in the execution of works of Persian classical music and this is confirmed by the numerous prizes awarded to him from a young age. The contact with western music has allowed him to acquire a personal style that evolves towards a modern and contemporary music. He has given numerous concerts and participated in various festivals throughout Europe both alone and with other international musicians. Among his officially published albums we can mention his first album entitled Now and Then with the record company Hermes Records in Iran with his new musical style on Santur and his latest duet album released with German trumpeter Markus Stockhausen with the record company Dark Compagnon in Italy.
