Composer, conductor (a pupil of Franco Ferrara), choir director and organist, he was a tenured teacher at the state Conservatory of L’Aquila.
In that Conservatory he held courses on “Theory and practice of Gregorian chant” for those enrolled in the upper three-year period (instrumentalists, singers, composers).
Composer and director of numerous Oratories (including the trilogy of the “Divine Mercy”) for solos, polyphonic choir and symphonic orchestra, all broadcast live on RAI and satellite networks. He has been a guest on Rai International’s Cristianità many times, hosted by Sister Myriam Castelli, both as a performer in the studio and as a testimonial.
His music has been performed among other things: at Carnegie Hall in New York and Chicago (Bruno Canino and Luisa Sello), Switzerland, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Austria, Germany, England, Argentina, Spain, France, Ukraine, China, India, Japan, Sala Nervi and St. Peter’s Square (Vatican), etc.
He has practiced Gregorian chant since his youth, when he was also an organist of Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence.
Numerous concerts with the exclusive repertoire of Gregorian chant or in a larger drawing on the modality. I refer to the cycle for the Abruzzo Region “Music in the Hermitages” and “From Gregorian to Stravinsky” (in Fossacesia) starting from the “Orbis Factor” to get to the “Sinfonia dei psmi” for choir and orchestra.
He is Director and Teacher of the “Permanent Center of Gregorian Chant” of the Pasquale II Cultural Center of Corniolo (FC).
