After graduating from the Conservatory of Novara, he later perfected his studies with Enrico Bronzi, Mario Brunello, David Geringas, Antonio Meneses, Frans Helmerson, Macha Yanouchevskaja, Vladimir Perlin, the Vienna Trio Altenberg and the Trieste Trio. He graduated with honors in Baroque Cello under the guidance of Mauro Valli, followed in this context the courses of Anner Bylsma and Maté Balazs at the University of California, Los Angeles.

The meeting with Enrico Bronzi was fundamental in 2003, with which he obtained a Postgraduate at the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg. Since 2008 he has been invited to the Mozart Orchestra – founded and directed by Claudio Abbado – with whom he has recorded for Deutsche Grammophon, Harmonia Mundi and Amadeus; since 2017 he has been invited as First Violoncello at the Teatro Massimo of Palermo and at the Sicilian Symphony Orchestra. He has also played the role of First Violoncello in the Orchestra of the Teatro Regio Foundation of Parma, the Abruzzese Symphonic Institution, the Filarmonica of the Brescia and Bergamo Festival, the Italian Philharmonic Orchestra.

Since 2010 he is also Principal Cellist in the European Union Chamber Orchestra, a chamber orchestra based in London with which he has participated in various tours in South America and Europe. In 2010 M ° Zubin Mehta declares him eligible for the role of Second Cello in the Orchestra del Teatro of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, from which he has been regularly invited; he also collaborates with the RAI National Symphony Orchestra of Turin, the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento, the Teatro Comunale Orchestra of Bologna. In 2012 he was the first to be eligible for the First Violoncello audition held by the Teatro Regio di Parma, with whom he began a collaboration in this role in 2013. In 2016 he was firstly qualified for the role of Second Violoncello at the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento .

In chamber music, he collaborated with the Artemisia Trio until 2006 and since 2011 he has been a cellist with the LunairePianoTrio. As a chamber musician he has performed alongside Bruno Canino, Ivan Rabaglia, Alessandro Specchi, Enrico Bronzi, Danusha Waskiewicz, Silvia Frigato, Laura Marzadori, Alessandro Deljavan, and has recorded live for Radio3 Rai. Also for Radio3 Rai he performed with the LunairePianoTrio for the “Concerti del Quirinale” cycle in March 2016.

He has taught Violoncello at the Higher Institute of Musical Studies “A.Peri” of Reggio Emilia, “G.Puccini” of Gallarate and the “G.F.Ghedini” Conservatory of Cuneo; since 2017 he has been a lecturer of Violoncello at the “Torrefranca” Conservatory of Vibo Valentia.
