Analysis of some of the greatest musical experiences from the first half of the twentieth century to the present. Some attention will be devoted to the relationship between music and other performing arts such as chamber theater and dance. In particular it will be investigated the importance of the musical dimension – especially rhythmic – in some recent choreographic productions.
Composition of a work to be played by the Young Ensemble in residence at Assisi Suono Sacro. In this regard, students can also consider the opportunity of creating a piece – not only instrumental – inspired by some of the dramaturgical principles investigated in the analytical lessons such as the use of a text that the same composer will introduce to the audience in the theater.
